What is the cost of a health care facility?
Our facility is fully certified to accept Medicare and
Medicaid reimbursements. We are also able to accept HMO’s, such as Blue
Cross/Blue Shield and Tufts.
How is eligibility for Medicare
Part A benefits determined?
- The resident must have a Medicare card that reads hospital
insurance.
- The resident’s physician must certify that the resident needs
skilled care on a continuum basis.
- A minimum of three consecutive days (not counting the day of
discharge) must be spent In a hospital no longer than 30 days prior to
entering the skilled nursing center.
- The need for skilled care must relate to the reason for
hospitalization.
What is your staff to resident
ratio?
Most states set requirements for staff-to-resident
ratios; therefore, the numbers vary nationwide. At Amesbury Village, LLC,
however, it is our policy to to exceed state staffing requirements. We
base our staff-to-resident ratios on factors such as the acuity level of
our residents, the layout of the building and the number of residents
under our care.

Is cable television available?
Hookups are available for cable service in resident
rooms.
What types of activities are
offered?
Activities such as parties, movies, exercises classes,
musical programs, religious services and craft classes are offered on a
daily basis. Outings to local attractions and community and cultural
events are also offered.
Can family members take their
loved one out of the facility for outings?
Of course, residents are encouraged to go on outings. If
an overnight stay is planned, however please inform the center and
inquire about any policies regarding overnight stays.
Does the facility offer
rehabilitation in house?
We provide physical, occupational, speech, and
respiratory therapy in accordance with the physician orders to maximize
physical function and recuperation.
What rehabilitative services are
available?
A full range of rehabilitative services are available to
help the resident become as independent as possible. A team of Physical,
Occupational and Speech therapists work hand in hand with a skilled
nursing staff, all under the supervision of your own primary physician
to ensue you receive the very best care available today!
Does the facility have a
nutritionists on site to accommodate the changing nutritional needs of
elders?
Our nutritional and dietary staff work pro actively to
recognize changes in appetite and weight. We center our menus of
personal preferences and offer alternative meals.
What is a Post Acute Unit?
A Post Acute unit is a comprehensive, highly specialized
inpatient program designed for the individual who has had an acute event
as a result of an illness, or an injury. The Post Acute Unit provides an
outcome-focused, interdisciplinary approach using a professional team to
deliver complex clinical intervention in the health care facility,
avoiding unnecessary and frequent hospitalizations. Post Acute focuses
on training each patient how to quickly achieve their independence and
readjust to their own home.
